Testimonies

 Stanley Palace Testimonies

Our visit to Stanley Palace gave others the chance to experience the methods of ukparasearch and we felt the night was a great success with some possible activity experienced.   It was a first time for many of the guests and others had some past experiences or strong beliefs of what might lie ahead of us in the next chapter of our lives.

We haven’t edited any of the comments we have received, luckily we’ve had no reason too and even the less complimentary comments are worth adding and it gives us an opportunity to respond and maybe answer a few questions for some people.  We may even learn something about ourselves.

We offered our guests the opportunity to let us know how UKPS’s first public event went by asking them to complete a Feedback Form.  Here’s a selection of the responses.

1.      Would you say you were in anyway scared during the night’s events?

No!

Yes, at the last sitting with the glass.  I felt very uncomfortable as the presence seemed unfriendly and I had to break away.

On last chance with glass on table, felt like whatever it was, it was angry and bad.  Didn’t like the feeling I got in the pit of my stomach.

Only during one of the glass divination exercises and at some other peoples questions.

I was quite content.

Yes, at peoples request for a response.

3.       Is there anything UKPS could improve with during the night?

Don’t think so!

Thumbs up!

Maybe a few different experiments!

No, I enjoyed the experience!

Maybe take photo before, then lock the door to prevent accidential tampering, then take photo after the event of trigger items which have been set.  To see if objects have moved!

5.Has your views in the paranormal changed after the investigation?

No.  I’m still a sceptic, however I am open-minded to the things I can’t explain!

I’m moving towards believing its possible!

Yes, as things happened that I could not explain!

I didn’t see anything new from my previous!

Not really!  I still believe that there is something!

Any other comments?

Some of the questions asked made me feel uncomfortable, ie. Do you know your dead?!

Thanks and well done for hosting this event and for inviting us along!

Very good fun!

2.       Would you say you were disappointed with anything during the night?

No. Well planned and good results!

Not really.  Still not sure if there is anything there!

Glad really only point of contact was through the glass!

No, but it would heave been good to hear some noises!

4.       Were you pleased or disappointed in the way vigils were handled?

Very happy! Would also have been happy to just sit and call out!

To scared to get involved in the circles!

Very pleased!

Was apprehensive when questions were posed “are you human?”!

Felt comfortable that we were protected and they were closed down properly!

6.       What did you most enjoy?

The long vigils and the chance to experience things myself!

Looking around and learning the history and stories of the house!

Table Tipping!

The fact that the only point of contact was with the glass.  Would have been to scared if anything else happened.

The night vision Camera capturing ‘orbs’!

Relaxing, laidback!

UKPS Response!

UKPS are open-minded when it comes to the world of the paranormal and to our own expertise and knowledge. We’re constantly learning about the paranormal, our methods and ourselfs, all comments help us to do all these.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who joined us and despite our initial nerves you all made the night very enjoyable.Thank you too, for your honest and constructive feedback.

What questions do we (people in general) ask those whom we cannot see?

Some people felt uneasy near the end of the night when the atmosphere felt bad and the movement of the glass became aggressive and eratic.  It was during this period the UKPS investigator heading the circle on the glass asked, “Are you human” and “Do you know you’re dead”  which visibly unnerved a couple of guests.  Both UKPS investigators equally believe that these where the only two logical questions.  If we are to believe in glass divination as a form of communication from spirit and it answers ‘no’ to all gender questions, what else could be asked?  UKPS have carried out investigated with many different investigators, each holding their own believes and approaches to vigils.  On one occasion with a couple of colourful investigators, they where sure the spirit coming through the glass was not of this world and bad natured, a HAG!  They came to this conclusion as the glass answered no to, are you male and are you female, and when the answer was also 'no' to their third question, they jumped of the glass and 'ordered' that we close the vigil down imediately as no good would come of it.  Well, we weren't convinced!  When the investigators were challenged on the belief, they had no confident reply and asked we only trust them.  Out of respected to their belief we ended the vigil, but still the debate went on.  The debate still goes on for UKPS.

UKPS would like to state that they are confident of being able to control paranormal experiments and to protect those taking part in these.

We didn’t and don’t perform for people and what and how we are is genuine and we certainly didn’t intend on making our guests fell uncomfortable.  Well actually we did.....that’s the whole point of spending time at haunted places, isn’t it?

We certainly agree with and take on board the view and fact that the majority of the communication came via the Glass.  We’re definitely looking at introducing other experiments that involve more hands-on work.   UKPS method of investigating the paranormal usually involves the monitoring and utilising of electrical equipment to recording audio and visual activity, such as EVP, rather than relying on experiments that have so many doubts hanging over them.

The Testimonies left by our guests were very positive and very welcomed.  Now, all the guests from our Stanley Palace night are eagerly awaiting and constantly enquiring when our next public night will be, which they won’t have to wait much longer for, as we’are planning to carry out 4 other public investigations in 2008, amongst the private locations we investigated.
